DECATUR -- The city's ban on water use is being lifted.

Water restrictions have been in place for almost six months. All summer boats were docked, cars went dirty and lawns stayed brown. People in Decatur say it was a hassle. But now, that is all over.

The city says Lake Decatur has enough enough water to lift all bans. The lake's level is a few notches higher than it usually is this time of year. The city says it is all thanks to more rain and people needing less water during the winter.

The lake is expected to stay above average for at least the next couple of months. Lake Decatur is not totally in the clear though. The area still has to get enough snow this winter to make sure it gets back to the point it needs to by next summer.
