Booker T. Washington students sell suds

URBANA-- If you were in Lincoln Square Mall today,you heard these 5th graders; "two left, two left. This may be your only chance."
    That's where Booker T. Washington students sold their new skin care line. The 5th grade class teamed up with U of I chemical engineers.
    The group created a line of bath soaps. They created the labels too. Students say it was a great experience.
    Kayla Israel, a child involved says, "we just started the experiment and we were like oh my gosh this is so cool. Because we all experimented with different stuff, and kind of laughed at our mistakes."     The soaps sold out within an hour. They made nearly $200. The students plan on doing it all again next year.
    People at Lincoln Square were also taking advantage of the last holiday market. For the past two months more than 70 vendors set up there. The market ran every Saturday.
    Now, the square will have a middle market once a month and it sells fresh produce grown right here in Illinois.
