SPRINGFIELD -- A new video about pensions is surfacing on Governor Quinn's website. This one talks about the squeeze the crisis will have on kids.

He launched an internet grassroots campaign last month. It's supposed to raise awareness about pension reform.

The video can be found on www.thisismillinois.com. It's a two part series that targets its impact on education. It shows a man talking with some kids in a conference room. He's explaining what pensions are and why they're important. A lot of the children seem to be losing interest. But, one little girl announces she finally understands it. She compares the pension crisis to selling girl scout cookies.

At the end of the video, the kids agree they need to get a lobbyist. Governor Quinn says the state is spending too much on pensions. He says we're on track to pay more for pensions than education by 2016.

The video and the site are getting a lot of mixed reviews. Some critics say he's making a joke out of a state crisis. Others say it doesn't do much to help with real reform.

Lawmakers are supposed to take up the issue in January.
