MATTOON -- Six people are behind bars, accused of making methamphetamine.

One of their homes is in the 600 block of Stockton Road in rural Mattoon. The drug task force believed a meth lab was set up there. Investigators had been watching the six since June. they say the group would have people buy them Sudafed from pharmacies. They were able to get almost 200 boxes of drugs to make meth that way.

All six are being charged with "Conspiracy to Manufacture 50 Grams or More of Methamphetamine and to Knowingly Manufacture, Distribute, or Possess with the Intent to Distribute 50 Grams or More of Methamphetamine."

If convicted, each person could face at least 10 years, depending on if they have prior drug convictions.
