CHAMPAIGN -- A mother's fight to keep her son at home is spreading across the state. Samantha Toral lives near Chicago but is from St. Joseph.  She lost her job just over a year ago in October.  Since then, she's been struggling to support her children and keep her home.   That is because she is facing foreclosure and says she can't bear the thought of having to move.

Her neighorbood has become her family over the years.  The single mom lives with her three children.  Ryan is eleven and has down syndrome.   That is why she says it is important to stay in the community.  Toral says Ryan is known as a rockstar in their neighborhood and people aren't afraid to help him when he needs it.

So her family here in Central Illinois started to tell her story on Facebook and Twitter.  Since then people across the state are joining in the effort to 'Keep Ryan Home.'

Toral says she needs about $9,000 by the end of the month to stay home.  So far she's raised about half that.

One of her biggest supporters is Habeeb Habeeb.  He is the chairman of the Champaign County Republican Party.  He says for every person who shares Toral's story on Facebook, he will donate $1 to the cause up to $500.

The complete story is not being told here. Samantha doesn't just care for her three children, she cares for everyone in need that crosses her path and always has. I could ramble on and tell you one amazing story after another about Samantha and her giving ways. Whether you know Samantha or not, if you are without something you need and she has the ability to fix that she will. I've seen her buy clothes for a long lost friend that had no clothes to wear. She has spent her life caring for the elderly and the emotionally challenged. No one deserves this more. Ryan is not just a rockstar in the neighborhood either, he is a rock star everywhere he goes!
