Lauren Burnham told people in the fifth grade she was going to write a book. The Champaign Centennial senior didn't start it until three years later. She wrote off and on for years until finally it was done and just published. She got it in the mail last week. It's called "Looks of an Angel." It's a sci-fi fantasy for young adults. Not bad for just a hobby. A sequal may be coming as well. You can buy her first book online at Barnes and Noble or Amazon.
