Police look for robbery suspects

CHAMPAIGN -- Police are looking for two men who robbed a gas station. One of them had a large butcher knife.

It happened at the Circle K gas station at 2315 West Springfield Avenue on Thursday, November 29th. Police say it was shortly before midnight when the men walked in and walked up to the clerk. They demanded money and took off.

Ben Newell with Champaign Police said, "They fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash, fortunately the attendant was not harmed."  The suspects were caught on tape. You see them to the left.

Police describe the suspects as two men, short with medium or slim builds. They had a white scarf or handkerchief over their faces. They were last seen running south on Kenwood Road.
