CHAMPAIGN -- Sunday marks the second night of the Jewish holiday, Hanukkah. The celebration of lights is a remembrance of a military battle in Jerusalem.

People in Champaign celebrated by eating latkes and playing songs. Although it's one of the better known Jewish celebrations, Rabbi Norman Klein said it's not the most important. Some of its traditions are borrowed from other holidays around this time of year.

The holiday is also celebrated by lighting a candle on the menorah for each of the eight nights. People also play games like dreidel.
