CHAMPAIGN COUNTY -- The new county board chairman is putting controversy behind him. Alan Kurtz became chairman thanks to the support of Republican members. He is a Democrat. It has some members wondering which side is which.

Also, the board now has an even number of members. Some worry votes could come to a standstill. Kurtz says either way, it is going to be a positive two years.

Kurtz says some of the main issues he'd like to focus on include the nursing home, economic development at Willard Airport and adding more wind farms.
