URBANA -- Two schools got some great news Thursday. They'll split $300,000 for an after-school program.

Prairie and King elementary are the recipients. Urbana Middle School already has the SPLASH program. It stands for Students Playing and Learning After School Hours. They play sports and get extra help with studying.

"I could finish my work. My grades were how I wanted them to be. I had time to take my time to do my work and get help on it," 8th grader Davion Ware said.

Urbana Middle School has had the after-school program for 9 years.
