Driver killed after rear-ending school bus

KANKAKEE COUNTY -- One person was killed and several children were hurt when a car hit the back of a school bus. It happened early Thursday morning in Limestone, near Kankakee.

Police say the car hit the bus while students were getting on. The driver, a 29-year old man from Braceville, was killed on impact.

Eight students were on the bus. Some were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
