CHAMPAIGN -- New business are setting up shop in the city. Three new stores will be moving in. County Market, Ace Hardware and a convenience store will call Carriage Center home.

The CEO of Niemann Foods made the announcement Tuesday. They've been working with Worden-Martin, Inc. It owns Illini Nissan and Ford City. Both dealerships will move to West Marketview Drive.

Crews started construction there last week. Work at Carriage Center is set to begin in June 2014, with the actual stores completed later in the year.

Niemann Foods says it plans to move the County Market on Kirby to the new location. The CEO says it will be much bigger, meaning more employees. They expect to create about 100-150 jobs for the area.

Those stores will be on just six of 17 acres. The rest will be available for future development. City leaders hope it means more businesses will be drawn to the area. The businesses moving here and the dealerships moving across town are looking at tax breaks from the city of roughly $6 million over 12-years.
