DANVILLE -- A newspaper carrier is dead after crashing her car at the end of her route. Lisa Baldwin delivered papers for Danville's Commercial News. Her family is outraged at how her employer is handling her death.

Their biggest complaint concerns the obituary. The family asked if the paper could cover costs, not only because it happened while Baldwin was working, but because she was an actual Commercial News carrier.

The family says a corporate executive was only willing to offer them 50% off the price. The accident happened Saturday morning just across the Indiana border. Investigators say Baldwin was driving along Route 136 when she lost control.

The 48-year-old's car flipped and she was ejected. Investigators say the car landed on top of her. The facts were written in an article in the Commercial News. But her family was surprised there was no mention that Baldwin was a paper carrier.

"She was on the job for them. They could have mentioned that she was delivering the papers and was headed home. I mean it's little stuff but still, something that's important," said Baldwin's niece Zabrina Cook-Diaz.

The publisher for the Commercial News couldn't be reached for comment. As for Baldwin's death, investigators aren't sure why she lost control, but say she wasn't wearing a seatbelt.
