Illinois is ranked 13th and 14th in the AP and Coaches polls respectively. The Illini are 8-0 after beating Georgia Tech on Wednesday.

The Illini have a tough task this week, however. They must face Western Carolina on Tuesday after a five day layoff and will travel to No. 10 Gonzaga on Saturday.

DJ Richardson and Tyler Griffey say the team has used the time off to get mentally and phyiscally rested after playing so many games to start the season. They already watched film on Western Carolina and emphasized they are focused on Tuesday's game, while trying not to look ahead to Saturday's ranked matchup
