URBANA -- Some kids took their turn holiday shopping while helping the community. The Crisis Nursery is holding its annual holiday shopping event at Lincoln Square Mall.

More than 300 volunteers help kids pick out gifts for family and friends. All gifts are between $2.00 - $8.00.

Kids also got to wrap their presents in bags decorated by members of the community. Now in its 20th year, many volunteers are giving back to something close to their heart.

"Oh, it means a lot to me and my teammates. I mean, a lot of us grew up kind of like this, we went to malls and stuff, had people help us pick out gifts for our parents when we were little. So I just want to give back and give the Christmas spirit," said volunteer Brandon Stryganek.

The event runs through Saturday. All profits go to the Crisis Nursery.
