DANVILLE -- Habitat for Humanity will be doing its work without an executive director. The board decided to let John Graves go earlier this week.

Graves has held the position for several years. Board members says it was a tough decision, but donations and store sales are down. They had to find some way to cut costs. Henry Hunt is board secretary.

"A director's salary is about one house," said Hunt, "we decided it might be better to do it without an executive director right now."

The group says it'll lean on volunteers to help with those director duties left behind. They hope the change will save at least $50,000.
