New ethics reform on agenda

SPRINGFIELD -- It soon could be easier to pinpoint corruption in government. Some lawmakers are pushing for new ethics reform.

The process requires all elected officials and candidates to complete an application. Included are questions relating to finances, gifts and relationships with lobbyists. Supporters say it's an easy way to spot conflicts of interest.

Lawmakers and other officials already have to complete a similar form each year, but say that one is outdated and has a lot of loopholes.
