Motel worker robbed at gun point

MATTOON -- A motel clerk is robbed at gunpoint and the suspect is still on the loose. It happened about 4:30 am Tuesday at the Quality Inn on Paradise Road.

The attendant said the man showed a gun, demanded money and ran off with cash. The suspect is described as a white man, 16-21 years old, with a slim build.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers. You can remain anonymous and may earn a cash reward.
