CHAMPAIGN -- If you're looking to give back this holiday season, Habitat for Humanity is looking for you. CU-Habitat is holding its annual gift wrapping fundraiser at Market Place Mall.

It needs volunteers to work 2 - 3 hour shifts. The event takes place every weekend and the entire week before Christmas. All proceeds will go to building affordable housing for the community.

Kim Gollings, volunteer coordinator for CU-Habitat, explains that by participating, shoppers will not only help their community, they'll also relieve holiday stress.

"So, people will do their holiday shopping, hopefully out at Market Place Mall, and they'll bring their gifts to us that they have purchased for their family. We'll ask for a small donation and then, in return, will wrap their gifts for them so they can get their holiday shopping and their gift wrapping done all at one time," she said.
