CHAMPAIGN -- Authorities are reviewing two recent shooting incidents.

The first happened nearly two weeks ago. Police were called to a dog fight. An officer fired his gun, accidentally killing a dog.

The second happened last week. Police responded to a domestic disturbance. A sergeant fired at car tires when the car tried to back over him. That car later crashed into a yard.

Reviews are standard practice anytime an officer fires a weapon.
