4 arrested for armed drug deal gone bad

UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS -- Four people, including two UI students face charges for allegedly robbing another student at gunpoint during a drug transaction. It happened about 8:00 pm Monday.

Taken into custody were Taaj Martin, 20, and UI student, Luis Davalos, 18, of Urbana, on charges related to the weapon and the robbery. Kelley Longstreet, 19, of Champaign, is accused of aggravated robbery, and Alejandro Salinis, 19, a UI student from Champaign, faces charges for delivery of cannabis.

Investigators say illegal drugs, paraphernalia and a .22-caliber pistol were recovered when a search warrant was served on an apartment in the 100-block of East Green.
