SPRINGFIELD -- Powerball is now up to $500 million dollars. It's the biggest prize in the game's history.

Folks at a gas station were lining up to buy tickets. The Illinois Lottery Superintendent says it's amazing to see how the jackpot has grown year after year. He says back in the 80's, $40 million dollars was considered a lot of money.

If you didn't get your ticket yet, that's okay. There is still plenty of time. The drawing will be held Wednesday night.
