Wife arrested in connection with dismembered body

SANGAMON COUNTY -- A woman accused of killing and cutting up her husband is being held on $5 million bond. 22-year old Juatasha Denton-McCaster faces seven counts, including three for first degree murder, one for dismembering a body and one for concealment of a homicide.

Authorities have not released the manner of death which killed 22-year old Norman McCaster. DNA was used to identify his remains which were found in a field in rural Mechanicsburg in October.

Denton-McCaster is scheduled to appear in court at 3:00 pm Wednesday.

MECHANICSBURG -- A Springfield woman faces charges after police identify a dead body as that of her husband. 22-year old Juatasha Denton-McCaster was arrested for concealment of a homicidal death and obstruction of justice.

A dismembered body was found in rural Mechanicsburg, October 29. DNA analysis determined it was 22-year old Norman Raymel McCaster, of Springfield.

No word on the manner of McCaster's death. The investigation is ongoing.
