SPRINGFIELD -- Illinois' controversial eavesdropping law is getting little support from the U.S. Supreme Court. It says it won't hear a case which would allow the state to prosecute anyone who records police officers on the job. It's currently illegal to do so.

Earlier this year, an Illinois Circuit Court said it violates peoples' freedom of speech. The case is expected to go back to district court.
