Ex-girlfriend suing mayor

CHAMPAIGN -- The mayor says he's not sure why an ex-girlfriend is suing him. Laura Huth filed a claim against Don Gerard for more than $3,000.
Huth runs "Do Good Consulting" in Urbana. She says the mayor owes her for work she did during his campaign.
But Gerard says there was never a contract. Huth is a former Urbana Council Member. She filed an emergency order of protection against Gerard last month. The judge denied it.
