CHARLESTON -- Three people were hurt following a four-car accident about 7:30 Wednesday morning. Three cars, including a police squad car, were at a stop light on Illinois 16.

A car crashed into one vehicle, causing a chain reaction. Police say the driver was distracted by a phone call in the heavy fog.

The woman was charged with not having a driver's license and failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident. All those hurt were treated and released from the hospital.
