SPRINGFIELD -- Folks across Central Illinois are making sure everyone gets a warm meal this Thanksgiving. St. John's Breadline fed hundreds of homeless people.

The room was full of smiling faces and full bellies. They served all the classics, like turkey, mashed potatoes, veggies, and, of course, pumpkin pie for dessert.

"We think its just as important for our guests to have the traditional Thanksgiving meal as everyone else. So we like to prepare it and serve it and we have so many good volunteers come to help us out here. It's just wonderful to have," said Assistant Supervisor Linda Freer.

Freer says they're always looking for more volunteers; not just for the holidays, but year-round too.
