Fire captain retires

CHAMPAIGN -- A captain in the fire department was honored Tuesday as his last day on the job. Captain Bob Quinlan is retiring. He's been fighting fires for more than 34 years, and served as captain for 15.
A "walkout" ceremony was held with an honor guard and bagpipes. Quinlan says he's thankful to have served the community.
A new firefighter will have that chance now. That person will be trained at the Illinois Fire Service Institute before joining the department.
