Local woman gets chance on game show

ROCHESTER -- It's the phrase you've most likely dreamed of hearing since you were a kid. For a woman in Central Illinois, that dream became reality.

Pam McGowan works at UIS. She was "called down" to be a contestant on the Price is Right. Her episode aired Tuesday morning.

She says she thinks she got picked because she's so happy and bubbly all the time. She didn't win, but says the memories are priceless.

She didn't even watch its airing Tuesday morning. She says she plans to see it with her whole family on Thanksgiving.
