URBANA -- Tuesday's Kid to Know considers it an honor to give up her holiday to serve food to hundreds of others. Kayla Estes is the student senate president at Urbana High School. That means she's in charge of its annual Thanksgiving dinner, which is no small undertaking.

Kayla is making last minute phone calls to volunteers this week. She's been planning the dinner since February, working three hours a day on it.

This is the 41st year the high school is hosting the holiday meal. It's from 5 - 7 pm, open to anyone, and it's all free. Last year, they served a record 300 people. They expect just as many this year.

Kayla and her family will do some of the cooking at home. She says it's the perfect way to spend Thanksgiving. They're also looking for volunteers to drive guest back and forth and help clean up.
