SPRINGFIELD -- The man who will soon be a new congressman is learning the ropes. Rodney Davis just got back from a week-long orientation in Washington, D.C. He met with reporters Monday.

He says he and his new colleagues were discussing the impending fiscal cliff. Davis says he's willing to work with President Obama to make sure tax rates stay low. Davis will be sworn in to his new office January 3.
