CHAMPAIGN -- With no home games left on the schedule for Illini football, the space outside Memorial Stadium is getting ready for a new set of fans.

"Tent City" was set up Monday for the IHSA State Football Finals. Family and fans for 16 teams will pack the parking lot outside this weekend.

One area team has extra help finding its way. Unity High School made it to the finals. Fans marked the route to the stadium by painting rockets on the road and setting up signs to show their support.

"We have a terrific Unity Athletic Association. They all come together and have fun doing it, getting behind somebody's pick up and putting the rockets on the road, making all these signs that are all along Route 45 and First Street, and really getting the team and town pumped up," said Diane Ducey of Tolono.

Unity plays Friday afternoon. Two more area teams, Maroa-Forsyth and Rochester, will play for a championship the same day.
