4th Annual Stockings for Soliders Drive

RANTOUL -- A family added "helping others" to its list of Thanksgiving traditions. This is the 4th year the Rudzinski family is taking part in Stockings for Soldiers.

Friday, they stuffed stockings at Shields Auto Center with things like toothbrushes, toothpaste, hats and gloves. The items were donated by people in the community.

The Rudzinski's are sending out the stockings Saturday. They say they're grateful for the community's help and all the items they donated.

RANTOUL -- A family is looking for help to send some hometown comfort to soldiers overseas. Michael and Tally Rudzinski are holding their Annual Stockings for Soldiers Drive.  They're collecting comfort items for soldiers that they will put in stockings and send for Christmas.  

If you would like to help:

- You can drop off your items or monetary donations to the family and their volunteers. They'll be standing outside of the Wal-Mart and County Market from 5:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday and Wednesday.

- You can drop off items to one of their bin locations:

St. Malachy School
Downtown Barbershop
First United Methodist Church
Sol Azteca
Butcher Boy Restaurant
       
In Champaign:
The Refinery Gym

In Fisher:
Papa Burly's

Requested Items: hand warmers, foot warmers, knit gloves, knit caps, chap stick, baby wipes, individual Kleenex packs, hand sanitizer, tampons, iTunes cards, toilet paper, hot cocoa, cough drops, granola bars, candy canes, beef jerky, snacks, cookies, cereal, toothbrushes, deodorant, 13" stockings.
