TOLONO -- Santa is getting a little help from people in Champaign County this year. A Christmas tree was put up at Casey's.

It's covered with gift requests for children from the Unity School District. This is the 27th year the Friends of Santa are helping make holiday wishes come true.

Organizers said they love this project because of all the happy children and parents they see during the Christmas season. The group is looking for donations of food, clothing or toys.

There are drop-off boxes for toys at Dollar General or Casey's in Tolono. You can also get special discounts at Casey's if you drop off a toy at the same time.

You can send monetary donations to Friends of Santa, P.O. Box 233, Tolono, IL 61880.

You can also donate food or clothing at the Masonic Lodge in Tolono on December 13 - 14.
