URBANA -- People are reaching out to help neighbors in need. Volunteers at Stone Creek Church are giving away about 1,000 turkeys for Thanksgiving.

Last year, people lined up around the church for hours. This time, the pastor said they started a new system so people don't have to wait as long.

About 200 volunteers are pitching in to make Turkey Day a little more special. Organizers said they're grateful for the volunteers as well as companies in the community which pitched in and donated food for the project.
