CHAMPAIGN COUNTY -- An overturned semi truck on I-57 near Rantoul caused three more accidents, one of them fatal. It happened between Rantoul and Paxton around noon.

State police say when the wheels fell off a semi, the driver lost control and hit another car before turning over. Then the wheels went across the highway and hit another car.

That accident stopped traffic but another semi didn't slow down. That truck rear-ended a car, and the driver was killed. State police say the other two crashes were minor caused by onlookers.
