CHAMPAIGN -- A man who dedicated his life to students is getting a permanent place in their education. Thursday, the Academic Academy was officially renamed to Novak Academy and a ceremony was held at the school.

It honors Greg Novak's 37 years of service to Unit 4. He died in March, but school officials hope this will help honor his memory forever.

Novak's wife received a plaque at the ceremony and also made a special announcement. She's putting together the "Hey Novak Foundation." Money from her husband's memorial fund will go towards helping students at the Academy.
