URBANA -- Some volunteers are making sure our furry friends have a cozy place to rest this holiday season. UI veterinary students put together special dog beds called "Kuranda beds."

The elevated design aims to make dogs more comfortable by getting them off the concrete. The Danville Humane Society originally launched the project.

Students wanted to help, so they turned to social media for donations. The beds were delivered to the humane society late Thursday afternoon.
