SPRINGFIELD -- Two stores were robbed on a busy street. Police hope someone saw something.

It happened in mid-October and early November. Tomahawk Trophies at 601 E. North Grand was robbed around 4:15 in the afternoon. Two men demanded money. One was wearing a red jacket with patches on the back and carrying a semi-automatic handgun. It happened October 18.

Domino's Pizza at 409 E. North Grand was robbed three weeks later by two men with similar descriptions. They too had a semi-automatic handgun. This was on November 7, also late afternoon. Matt Goulet with Springfield Police says it's possible the two are related. He's hoping someone saw something because North Grand is a busy street at that time of day.

If you know anything about these two cases, call Sangamon Menard County Crime Stoppers at 788-8427. Or text: Tip672 plus your information and send it to CRIMES. Or log on. You could get a cash reward.
