VERMILION COUNTY -- A family feud took a turn for the worst. 56-year old Billy Richardson is accused of killing his uncle. WCIA-3's Jessica Shaw finds out more from witnesses.

Richardson faces preliminary charges of murder, and is due to appear in court Friday. His arraignment was pushed back until the State's Attorney has all the police reports from a completed investigation.

Authorities say Richardson pulled the trigger killing his uncle, 68-year old Donnie Davis. Neighbors say Davis told Richardson to move out causing an argument between the two. That's when Richardson reportedly pulled out a gun and fired.

Deputies searched nearby woods for hours after Richardson fled the scene. Witnesses say the pair was in a long-standing fight over property, but this outcome has everyone pretty shaken up.
