CHAMPAIGN -- A funeral home is offering to cover all the costs to bury a 14-month old boy. Samaj Maclin's family is devastated by his death after he was hit by a car in the driveway of his babysitter. They say they can't afford a funeral, but now people are stepping up to help.

An employee called the director of the Sunset Funeral Home who wanted to immediately get in touch with the family. They are struggling to figure out how to give him the funeral he deserves. Sunset offered to cover the entire costs for the funeral and burial.

The Maclin family wants to bury Samaj in Chicago, but aren't sure what they'll ultimately do. Samaj's mom, Yolanda, says so many people offered her condolences while she was taking the bus home Tuesday night, she missed her stop.

Anyone wishing to donate to the family can do so by contacting the Central Illinois Credit Union.
