DECATUR -- A new call for help in an unsolved murder case. We took a closer look at the case almost three years ago.

It happened back in May 2008. Police found Robert Johnson dead in his own home on South Sycamore. His body was in a back bedroom. He had been shot in the head. Police found several clues in the house but none have lead to a suspect.

Shawn Guenther with Decatur Police is asking people to come forward if they know anything about this case. He says, "Any information whatsoever they have, we'd like to know."

In 2010, Johnson's family told WCIA-3 News that Johnson was worried about his safety. At the time, police also believed the killer took his cell phone and may have had a conversation with one of his friends. She had been texting Johnson the day before he was found. She said his responses were odd. Police believe the killer may have been the one answering those texts. The phone's never been found.

If you know anything about this case, call Decatur Macon County Crime Stoppers at 423-TIPS. Or text:  DPD333 plus your information and send it to CRIMES. Or log on. You could get $500 or more if your tip leads to an arrest in this case.
