When our loved ones grow old, their health and their minds often deteriorate.

In Illinois, unfortunately, we see that a lot, more so here than in many other places in the United States.

November is Alzheimer's Awareness Month.

Nationally, Alzheimer's disease is the 5th leading cause of death in people 65 and older.

The Alzheimer's Association expects that by 2025, 240,000 people in Illinois will be diagnosed with Alzheimer's.

That number puts us as ranking 7th higest in the country.

In 2008, more than 3,000 people died from Alzheimer's disease in Illinois.

Kathy Rhoads from the Circle of Friends Adult Day Center sits down with The Morning Show to tell us more about how people can spot the disease, and help their loved ones.
