HOMER -- The village board meets Monday night to discuss selling water to a coal mining company. It's an issue which had divided the community.

Sunrise Coal wants to buy more than 1/2 million gallons of water daily. It's more than four times what the entire village currently uses in a day.

It gets its water from five wells. If approved, the village would need an additional water source to meet the request.

The meeting starts at 7 pm. The board is not expected to make a final decision at Monday night's meeting.
