4-star forward commits to Groce, Illini

Updated: November 12, 2012
GLADSTONE, N.J. - Illinois basketball coach John Groce is turning his first recruiting class into one of the nation's best.  He already has four players committed, and today he landed another four-star recruit, who should provide some big help in the paint.

6-foot-9 power forward Austin Colbert (Gladstone, N.J.) verbally committed to Illinois today.  Colbert is a 210 lb senior, who chose the Illini over Villanove, Seton Hall, and Miami (FL).

The New Jersey-native is a top 100 player in the nation, according to Rivals.com.
