Pension reform planned for January

SPRINGFIELD -- Governor Quinn says it's time lawmakers get back to work on pension reform. He says the factors are all right to get the job done once and for all.

He set a new deadline of January 9, 2013. That's the last day of session before new lawmakers voted in last week take over. That means it could be easier to get something passed since it's a lame duck session.

What is interesting is, once new members start later in January, the Democrats will have enough people to pass anything they want without Republican support. Some ask why wouldn't the governor just wait on pensions until then, but Quinn says the issue needs attention from both sides of the aisle.

Pension reform isn't the answer to this states problems. We need to get rid of the Madigans and all of there followers.
