CHAMPAIGN -- Soon the UI will get some of its energy from a solar farm. It was approved by the board of trustees Thursday.

By spring, you'll see solar panels spread throughout 20 acres of a field at the corner of Windsor and First. The panels will provide renewable energy for 5% of campus and should be complete by next fall.
