EAST PEORIA -- 2012 is nearing its end and shoppers are already hitting the stores. But, they're not looking for holiday presents.

They're preparing for the end of the world. The thoughts crossing the minds of some survivalists are things most people don't worry about.

Morgan Stafford is a National Guard Soldier who has spent months stocking up on items like solar panels, flash lights and binoculars. He's not the only one.

Stafford is moving all his supplies to one place where he has food and plenty of ammunition. He says, even if life does go beyond 2012, he's ready for the next hurdle in this path.
