Foster a pet for the holidays!

MACON COUNTY -- The holidays are a time to help the less fortunate, but that doesn't just mean people. You can also help some pets in need.

That's why Macon County Animal Control will let you take one home for free during the holidays. You can foster a pet now and then give it back in January.

If you decide the furry friend becomes part of the family, you can adopt it at half price. The shelter says hardly any pets are ever returned.
