"Shelter-ed" experience

UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS -- Ever wonder what it would be like to stay in a shelter? Thursday, people had a chance to find out. The Red Cross set up a mock shelter on the quad complete with cots, blankets and comfort kits.

It's to show students and faculty what staying in a shelter is like and raise awareness about the types of assistance the Red Cross provides. Organizers also collected donations for survivors of Super-storm Sandy.
